OCEANSIDE PUBLIC LIBRARY HOSTS YOUNG ADULT AUTHOR WEEK
The Oceanside Public Library is excited to host a Young Adult Author Week from July 23 through July 27, 2012. This free, week-long event features thirteen best-selling authors of the young adult genre. Scheduled to appear are:
Monday, July 23 at 4 pm at the Civic Center Library Teen Zone, 330 N. Coast Hwy., Oceanside -Cindy Pon, author of The Silver Phoenix Series; and Kirsten Hubbard, author of Wanderlove. Tuesday, July 24 at 4 pm at the Civic Center Library Teen Zone
-Kiersten White, author of the Paranormalcy Series; Marie Lu, author of Legend Trilogy; Cynthia Hand, author of the Unearthly Series; and Robin LaFevers, author of Grave Mercy and Theodosia Series for Tweens.
Wednesday, July 25 at 4 pm in the Civic Center Library Foundation Room
-P.J. Haarsma, author of the Softwire Series; and Frank Beddor, author of the Looking Glass Wars Series. Haarsma will take the audience through his interactive fictional world online.
Thursday, July 26 at 4 pm in the Civic Center Library Teen Zone
-Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguié, authors of the Wicked Series and the Wolf Springs Chronicles; and Lani Woodland, author of the Yara Silva Trilogy. Nancy Holder also authored several Buffy the Vampire Slayer books.
Friday, July 27 at 4 pm at the Mission Branch Library, 3861 Mission Ave., Oceanside
-D.J. MacHale, author of the Pendragon Series and Morpheus Road Series; and Cecil Castellucci, author and editor of Geektastic and The Year of the Beasts.
All ages are welcome, and following each author talk, books will be available for purchase and signing at Barnes & Noble, 2615 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92054. Sales of the books are a fundraising event for the Library, and a percentage of each sale at Barnes & Noble with the mention of code 10808962 will benefit the Library’s Teen Zone.
